semify announces the upcoming launch of the SmartWave API: A Python package serving the bridge between the PC and SmartWave


Graz, Austria. – [February 25, 2024] – semify, a provider of services and products in the area of digital design for FPGAs and ASICs, is thrilled to announce the imminent launch of its Python API called SmartWaveAPI. The API supports rapid development and integration, offering an intuitive way to control and communicate with a wide range of devices. Available now on PyPI for installation, this API marks a significant step forward in embedded systems development.


Key Highlights


Full Functionality: The API supports all functionality provided by the WebGUI software. It allows to automate repetitive tasks by writing your custom functions in Python and enables to integrate the unique capabilities of SmartWave into an automated testing environment.


No USB driver installation: Similar to the SmartWave WebGUI, no USB drive installation is required to use the SmartWaveAPI.


Simple installation: The API is hosted at the Python Package Index (PyPI) repository an can easily installed using the standard Python Package installation mechanism.
